The ImmerSUN is a self-consumption device, designed to use the energy from your solar panels that is surplus to requirements and would otherwise be sent to the grid.
How does ImmerSUN work?
The immerSUN monitors the electricity which is about to be exported to the grid and diverts it to the immersion heater. It then automatically directs any excess generated electricity, not used by the house, to the immersion heater in the hot water cylinder.
What is a solar iBoost?
The Solar iBoost uses the surplus solar PV energy generated at your home to heat the hot water in your household water tank and save you money. Solar iBoost is a remote switch that uses a wireless connection so there is no additional wiring required.
What is a hot water diverter?
A diverter essentially converts excess solar energy into stored heat inside your water tank, reducing or eliminating the need to purchase energy from the grid for water heating.
How do I pair my solar iBoost?
If necessary you may need to manually pair the devices by pressing and holding button “B” on Solar iBoost until it displays Pairing with Sender. 3. Press and hold the button on the Sender until the screen displays Pairing Successful or Pairing Failed. This may take up to 10-15 seconds.

To replace the thermostat in the immersion heater should your water get scalding hot all of a sudden, make sure the electricity to the immersion is off and the fuse in the isolator switch is out. Undo the top screw’s of the thermostat cover and you will usually see a cable clamp holding the mains flex in place.

Solar hot water systems should be serviced and cleaned approximately every five years (or less if you notice issues). The collector (the solar thermal component on the roof) may need cleaning more regularly if there’s been a lot of dust in the air (for instance during drought conditions).
