What is Alps keyboard?
Alps SKCL/SKCM series switches, also referred to as complicated Alps, Alps Bigfoot, and Alps CM, are the most common type of Alps switches used in computer keyboards. First introduced as early as 1983, the Alps SKCL/SKCM series has been one of the first commonly available, compact-design keyboard switches.
How do I get rid of Alps Keycap?
With most keys, all you have to do is push down the 2 keys on the left and right of the one you want to remove, the extractor will then go on to the middle key easily. Once you have any key removed, the adjacent ones become easy anyway.
Can you lube Alps switches?
On the wiki there is a lubing guide for Alps switches. It describes what and what not to lubed. Personally I only lube the sliders. Apply a thin layer of dry PTFE lube, if you apply too much it takes for ages before it completely dries up.

Are ALPS good?
There definitely not SKCM blues, but they are excellent daily use switches. If you prefer tactile switches, then you need to look for vintage Alps. Cream alps are plentiful, cheap, and nice feeling, but Orange alps are the tactile king, IMO.

Can you pull keycaps off without a keycap puller?
You could do it with a paper clip (probably wouldn’t work with the small ones) couldn’t you? Just by bending it so it has a flat edge you could put under the key and hold both ends while pulling up gently, or just do that with 2 paper clips which essentially mimics some key pullers.
Can you pull keycaps off by hand?
