Please be aware that applications to renew a taxi or private hire driver licence can only be made from three months of the expiry of your licence. How old can a car be for PCO?
The regulations have changed and from the 1st of April 2012 you will not be able to licence a vehicle for the first time if it is over 5 years old. Any vehicle, which has been licensed prior to April 2012, can remain licensed for up to 10 years from the manufacture date (subject to a yearly renewal).
