Unfortunately, you can’t install SYNC 4* software onto SYNC 3 hardware. However, that doesn’t mean you aren’t getting an immersive experience with your current SYNC version.
Can I upgrade my Ford touch to sync 3?
The SYNC 3 system has unique hardware and software systems. However, you cannot upgrade between SYNC hardware versions. This means that if your vehicle has SYNC 1 or 2 (MyFord Touch) then you are not eligible to upgrade to SYNC 3.
