The international membership fee is on a sliding scale: US $69.50 for residents of high-income countries, US $26 for residents of middle-income countries, and US $13 for residents of low-income countries. Sigma headquarters receives the international membership fee.

How to Join
- have completed ½ (one half) of the nursing curriculum;
- achieve academic excellence (at schools where a 4.0 grade point average system is used, this equates to a 3.0 or higher);
- rank in the highest 35 percent of the graduating class in scholarship;
- meet the expectation of academic integrity.

Accepting Membership Membership to Tau Sigma is by invitation only. Students who meet the membership criteria will be sent an invitation in the mail (snail mail) to join after their first semester at FIU. To join Tau Sigma, students complete an membership form and pay the $45 one-time membership fee.
