What has happened to Freecycle?
You may have noticed that Freecycle Groups are now called Towns. To help you make the transition, we’ll refer to them as local Town groups or Town groups for a while. Now that we have two types of Freecycle groups, we wanted to give them names that would differentiate them.

Where do Freecycle messages go?
Replies to your posts and replies to messages that you send in response to other peoples posts will show up on the messages page* and they will be emailed to the email account that you signed up with. You can view and change this email address on the Settings page.

How can I respond to a post on Freecycle?

Why is my Yahoo Freecycle group not responding?
There are a few possibilities. If you’re new to the group, or haven’t posted for a while, it’s probably waiting for approval. See Moderation. It could be because My.Freecycle or Yahoo is slow – that happens from time to time. It could have been sent back to you. Please check your junk or spam folders to see if that’s happened.
Do you have to be in a specific area to join Freecycle?
If your local Town Group moderators require you to live in a specific area to join the Town Group, you will receive an email with a short questionnaire.
