Are Tieks flats worth it?
Tieks ballet flats are the most expensive shoes I’ve ever bought, but for me, they are definitely worth it. When you spend hours on your feet out exploring it’s vital to have a quality pair of shoes. Tieks are the ideal travel ballet flats—they are comfortable, portable, durable, versatile, and stylish.
Do Tieks run true to size?
Yes, for the most part. Tieks ballet flats run true to size with a few exceptions. Obviously, if you wear a half size you won’t be able to order your usual size since Tieks doesn’t offer half sizes. The styles of Tieks that tend to run slightly smaller and more snug are vegan Tieks and patent leather Tieks.
How can I get cheap Tieks?
One tip I have to try and get a pair of Tieks at a lower price is to check Poshmark or eBay. Also visit some secondhand stores to see if you can score a pair in great condition.

Styling Tieks I have always worn my Tieks barefoot and the most significant issue I’ve had is darker coloring of the leather insole from so much wear. Tieks don’t cause blisters, so there isn’t a need for socks to be worn for personal comfort.

In most cases (an outlier mentioned later), shoes squeak because two parts of the shoe are rubbing together. While Tieks do not have removable insoles, the squeak may be due to rubbing between the teal sole and the leather it is affixed to.

Tieks are made from 100% top-grain leather; the highest end leathers are custom-made in Italy. The upper of each pair of Tieks comes from a single piece of leather. The upper is designed to wrap around the foot to slim and elongate it. This goes for wide feet, too.
