Airbourne will not take to the skies this summer. The decision to postpone the 2021 event has not been taken lightly, however we know that it is the responsible one to make taking into account the continuing forms of social distancing to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors.

The Clacton Airshow has been replaced in 2021 by a celebration of Claction 150, featuring displays by the Red Arrows and the BBMF. Flypasts had previously been announced but conversion to displays was announced on 27th July.
Where Are Red Arrows today?
They are currently based at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, but will be relocated to RAF Waddington in 2022.

Where to see the aircraft at the Airbourne Airshow?
The aircraft can been seen from the Sovereign Harbour at the eastern extreme through to Beachy Head on the west. The flying line is more or less between the pier and the foot of Beachy Head, centred on an area called the ‘Western Lawns’. This is also where the ground displays and trade stalls are.
Is there parking at Beachy Head and Eastbourne?
Eastbourne Resident’s Leisure Cards won’t be valid during Airbourne at Beachy Head and Eastbourne Car Parks so they’ll be more spaces available than normal. It is, of course, worth mentioning that parking will be extremely busy so it really is best to arrive early if your intention is to park as close to the sea as possible.
What kind of helicopters are at Eastbourne Airshow?
Helicopters are popular at Eastbourne. The Chinook and the Belgian A109 are two that impressed last year. This year the Gazelle Squadron brought a pair of their Gazelles for synchronised rotary action along the seafront. Warbirds were there is strength, too.
