Is Didriksons a good brand?
We’ve stocked Didriksons jackets and trousers for years and our customers and staff alike have come to respect and love the brand and the apparel they offer. Whilst their waterproofing is probably what they are best known for, the style and warmth of Didriksons coats make them easily recognisable as well.

How do you impregnate a jacket?
Impregnating in the washing machine Immediately after washing, you can impregnate the freshly washed jacket in the washing machine using a wash-in impregnation product. The impregnation effect will increase with the application of heat after treatment. The easiest way to do this is to dry the item in the tumble dryer.

How often should you reapply DWR?
We recommend care every 10-12 days of heavy activity. Below are five common signs it is time to wash and/or reapply a DWR coating to your GORE-TEX® jacket or pants. #1. You have been touring or taking part in high output activities where body oils and sweat might have accumulated inside the jacket or pants.
How effective is DWR?
The simple answer is no. DWR is a surface treatment and does not impact the performance of the waterproof membrane. Both properties are separate, meaning when the DWR wears off, a waterproof jacket is still waterproof. Waterproof ratings are determined without considering DWR.
Does washing a waterproof jacket ruin it?
Waterproof jackets should never be washed using ordinary detergent or fabric softener. The chemicals in detergent can break down the composition of the fibres with each wash and strip the fabric of its waterproof coating. A cleaner specifically designed for technical outerwear is recommended.
