Can I replace my G4 halogen bulbs with LED?
I found some G4 LED bulbs on Amazon, and they fit in the fixtures just fine, but if I try to replace more than one of the halogens with the LED’s, they won’t fire up (they just barely come on at all). On a circuit with two fixtures, if I have one LED and one halogen, they light up just fine.

Can I put LED bulbs in a halogen fixture?
ANSWER: Yes, there are LED bulbs you can use in your fixtures. The LED equivalent to the 50-watt halogen bulb will probably burn only about six or seven watts. These LED bulbs cost more, $30 to $35, but because they will last for years, they are worth the price. And LEDs give off relatively no heat at all.
What are G4 bulbs used for?
Halogen capsule bulbs and LED capsule bulbs are ideal for the smallest of light fittings, and are commonly used in cooker hoods, under cabinet lighting and integrated light fittings. They are very compact but offer a bright light for their size.
Are LED bulbs cheaper to run than halogen?
The large variance between an LED bulb and, say, a halogen bulb wattage is the reason LEDs are so much cheaper to run. This means that the LED spot uses 90% less electricity to run and therefore it costs 90% less. We have 6W Led bulbs that are replacements for 60W halogen bulbs, again saving 90% energy and cost.
