Where is the EGR valve located on a Vauxhall Astra?
As you look into the engine bay from the front its bolted on the right hand side of the engine towards the back. See photo below.

When my MAF sensor went it suggested an EGR error on the fault codes. Lookers had the car for 3 days and claimed they took the EGR valve apart and cleaned it on the 1.7cdti 100BHP. I didn’t think there was much of a difference between the 80 & 100BHP engine in the 1.7.
