In February 2004, the resort transferred hands to Chuck Horning, a real estate investor from Newport Beach, California, who remains the current owner today. The 2004/2005 winter saw the opening of Mountain Quail and with it a guided skiing and snowboarding program.

How often do you go to the peaks?
I go to The Peaks a few times a year and am always enormously impressed with the staff there bending over backwards to make your stay the best it can be. This last trip was the tail end of the ski season and they were exceptional as always. Many thanks to Chuck, Jordan, Ian, Alberto and Cuco!
