What is the best case cleaning media?
When it comes to dry media you essentially have two options; corn cob and walnut. Corn cob is best for brass that is less tarnished and does not need too much polishing, whereas walnut is best for your dirtier, more tarnished brass.
Can you clean tumbler media?
You don’t need to touch or eat or roll around in the dirty media/water naked, unless you really want to. I just use a plastic bag and a few cups or water (usually taken from the bucket of dirty and slightly soapy water I have recently cleaned my brass in*) to clean a tumbler full.

Two to three hours. I don’t mind letting it run longer if I’m busy doing something else but I set two to three hours as a minimum. For me it seems the more times brass gets shot the longer it takes to clean. Can get clean brass in as little as 2 hours but sometimes it takes 6 hours.

Can I use them in all stages? The plastic poly pellets can be reused but only use them in the same grit stage that you used then in before. Grit gets embedded in the plastic and can never be fully removed. You can use them in all stages.

If you’d ask a 100 reloaders how they clean the brass, my guess is 80% of them will tell you that they use a vibratory tumbler from manufacturers like Frankford Arsenal.
