Is Kalrez the same as Chemraz?

What is Chemraz 505?

FFKM is made up of 72.5% fluorine with a fully fluorinated backbone chain, which is the absolute maximum level of fluorination possible whilst still retaining the elastomeric properties needed for the development of high performance ‘O’ rings.

The effective temperature range for Kalrez is +5ºF to + 600ºF, for Chemraz –20ºF to +450ºF. A white Chemraz compound is available and features less impurities and less electrical conductivity.

Chemraz® FFKM Overview FFKM, or perfluoroelastomer, contains higher amounts of fluorine than standard FKM, and features higher temperature ratings, up to approximately 325°C (617°F). FFKM also has improved chemical resistance, with nearly universal chemical compatibility.
