- Lay a towel over the moto.
- Pull the valves out of the block leaving cables attached.
- Clean the bigger carbon chunks up with a sharp putty knife. Use WD40, pb blaster or the cheapest penetrating oil you have and go at them with scotch brite.
- Re install them.
- Crack beer.
